On November 29th, Bensaude Energia held an Emergency Drill at the Nordela Fuel Terminal within the operational framework of the Internal Emergency Plans of the Nordela Terminal and Benel Nordela Fuel Terminal.
This Emergency Drill was planned and executed with SAAGA Park to test the capacity of Joint Coordination, according to the concept of the "Domino Effect Group" in Emergency Response, namely the Internal Organization, Evacuation Procedures, Intervention of the Terminal Emergency Teams and also the Coordination with the External Emergency Services.
Representatives of the Ponta Delgada Fire Department, Police, the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Ponta Delgada, the Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service of the Azores and the Regional Environmental Inspection Agency were present in addition to other Official Entities, and the collaboration of the Regional Service of Civil Protection and Firefighters of the Azores in the alert approach, via emergency number 112, and activation of the External Emergency Services.
