The Hotel Association of Portugal celebrated on June 27th the 5th anniversary of the HOSPES Program.

The HOSPES program is the Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability program of the Hotel Association of Portugal (AHP), which aims to guide the Portuguese hotels' aptitude and commitment towards a common cause: promoting sustainable and responsible growth in the sector, acting in three areas - social, economic and environmental.

This ceremony was held at Hotel Pestana Palace in Lisbon and was the pinnacle of a joint collaboration between AHP and its members, with the presence of the Minister of Environment João Pedro Fernandes and the Secretary of State for Tourism Ana Godinho.

It was with distinction that the 8 Bensaude Hotels - Hotel Açores Lisboa, Hotel do Canal, Terceira Mar Hotel, Hotel Marina Atlântico, São Miguel Park Hotel, Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, Hotel Açores Atlântico and also NEAT HOTEL Avenida – received the WE CARE seal for their commitment of responsibility and environmental sustainability, relating to good environmental practices during 2017.

Once again, the Bensaude Group upholds good sustainable practices which reflect social and economic responsibility as well as the care for environmental protection.
Almost 100 years later, the tourism sector of the Bensaude Group continues to embody Vasco Bensaude’s mission - to develop tourism in the Azores.
