The first Continente Modelo in the Azores Islands was celebrated on May 13th, 2018. A partnership between INSCO, part of the Bensaude Group, and SONAE, one of the most trusted brands in Portugal, brought to the Azores low prices, promotions and product fairs, a quality and freshness of its fresh produce and a great variety and selection of its own store brand products.
The first store opened 25 years ago in Ponta Delgada in the same place where it is today, and the evolution over the past 25 years has always been continuous.
Inserted in the Parque Atlântico shopping center, the first Continente store in the Azores was a landmark of change in the regional retail market.
To celebrate this symbolic anniversary, INSCO was promoting the "25-YEAR GRAND CONTEST CONTINENTE AZORES," which ran from April 24th to May 13th, 2018, with the grand prize of a VOLVO V40.
What were the grand prizes?
1st Prize:
Volvo V40 CC D2 Plus Man 6v, in ice white
2nd Prize:
Trip (Paris, London or Rome) for 2, including roundtrip tickets, 2 nights in a hotel with daily breakfast, to be used between October and November 2018,
3rd Prize:
Trip to Barcelona for 2, including roundtrip tickets, 2 nights in a hotel with daily breakfast, to be used between October and November 2018
4th Prize:
Trip to Funchal for 2, including roundtrip tickets, 2 nights in a hotel with daily breakfast, to be used between October and November 2018
5th Prize:
Trip to Lisbon for 2, including roundtrip tickets, 2 nights in a hotel with daily breakfast, to be used between October and November 2018
6th Prize:
Trip to Porto for 2, including roundtrip tickets, 2 nights in a hotel with daily breakfast, to be used between October and November 2018
7th to 31st Prizes:
Credit value on each winner’s "Continente Card” with value discounts (per prize value) of €250 (two hundred and fifty euros).
32nd to 56th Prizes:
Gas Checks of €50 (fifty euros) per prize, for a single use at one of the participating gas stations (see addendum 2 of regulations) before December 31,2018.
How can customers participate?
You must have made purchases equal to or higher than 20€ and received a stamp, which then placed on the stamp booklet provided at one of the Continente stores.
When will the Grand Prize be announced?
Prizes will be selected on May 23rd, 2018 at 4 PM in the Continente Store of Ponta Delgada.

In addition to the "Grand Contest," a fair dedicated to the anniversary celebrations in which customers can find great promotions in hundreds of articles from 25 partner brands is also taking place in all the CONTINENTE stores.
This is a great reminder that the Continente Azores has been deemed the most affordable retailer in the Azores at different occasions.
And since INSCO and Continente Açores are celebrating, the Continente Producers Club in the Azores was present at the Country and Ocean Show in Ponta Delgada with a promotional stand on May 10th bringing the best of the Azores to consumers.
The Continente Producers Club in the Azores is 7 years old and made up of 27 partners, with about 1552 tons of goods traded per year with associates, 146 ha of production area and 60 different products, and, as an example, 88% of lettuce and sweet potatoes are Azorean products, which correspond to almost 300 tons. The Club promotes the quality of Azorean products, boosting employment and sustainability, values at the core of the Bensaude Group.
On May 12th and 13th, the Continente store in Ponta Delgada featured a variety of musical entertainment with local artists all two days, activities in the store, gifts and offers for customers and the traditional cake on the 13th.
