Bensaude Group awards prizes for academic merit at EBI Arrifes
As part of its policy of sustainability and commitment to the Azores, the Bensaude Group honoured academic merit once again, this time by offering Note! school supplies to 23 students and two cash prizes to the best 9th grade students at the Escola Básica Integrada de Arrifes.

The Arrifes EBI Merit and Citizenship Awards ceremony took place on 26 January, an event for students from 1st to 9th grade for the 2022/2023 school year. This year, with the highest 2022/2023 final classifications, students Martim Pereira Costa and Tiago Morgado Cordeiro were honoured.

The session was attended by the President of the School Assembly, Dora Lourenço, the President of the Executive Council - Isolina Medeiros, the President of the
Pedagogical Council - Andreia Silva, the Director of the Department of Social Development, Education, Youth and Sport, representing Ponta Delgada City Council - Margarida Pais, the President of the Parents' Association - Miguel Sousa and the Director of Communication and Marketing of the Bensaude Group, Nuno Borges.

Throughout the event, in addition to the presentation of prizes and diplomas to the students, the audience was also entertained with inspiring moments from both current and former students by the Mosteiros Philharmonic Quintet and a tribute to former teachers with the Career Award.

With this initiative, the Bensaude Group aims to continue to recognise and motivate the Region's students towards a performance of excellence based on merit.  "Education is one of the most important tools we have to face the challenges we face every day. But the family environment, the commitment of families, the effort of so many parents to accompany their children are also fundamental conditions for achieving the best results - and today we can prove that," said Nuno Borges as a note of recognition and tribute to the community involved.
