As part of the celebrations for the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, and also of the Day of the Region, two events took place that are of great pride for the Bensaude Group.
The President of the Bensaude Group, Patricia Bensaude Fernandes, was bestowed a Commendation title - Order of Commercial Merit -, on June 9th, coincidentally also the Day of the Region, by the Presidency of the Republic, namely the Representative of the Republic in the Azores, who presided over the celebrations in the city of Angra do Heroísmo and in collaboration with its Municipality.
On June 10th, at Calheta on São Jorge Island and to celebrate the Day of the Region, the Regional Legislative Assembly awarded Vasco Elias Bensaude, posthumously, with the "Professional Merit" Honorific Insignia.
Vasco Bensaude was a distinguished visionary and entrepreneur to whom the Bensaude Group owes its pioneering spirit in the Tourism area, among other initiatives of great merit.
His daughter Patricia Bensaude Fernandes was present at the ceremony and received this great honor in his name
